The Executive Mayor, Herman Mashaba and Housing MMC Meshack van Wyk just handed over 38 title deeds to South Hills housing project beneficiaries.
The lucky beneficiaries are those who applied for housing in 1996. Clr Mashaba pleaded with the beneficiaries to look after the units and not allow taverns, drug Lords and foreigners near the units.
Also speaking with excitement Ward 56 councilor Michael Chrichton said he’s happy to see people getting their houses after waiting for such a long time.
According to Mashaba, the Beneficiaries have been given the full ownership of the units.
