Congratulations Sibonelo Mtshali

The best of the best in the South African community newspaper industry came together at Leriba Hotel and Spa in Centurion on July 19, for the annual Forum of Community Journalists’ Excellence Awards. Sibonelo Mtshali, Southern COURIER reporter, won Digital Reporting award.

Mtshali says winning an award has been something he has been eyeing since his childhood days.

“I feel honored and blessed to win such a prestigious award. I’m still a baby in the industry of journalism I didn’t think that in such a short period of time I will be awarded for something. My two editors Lucky Thusi and Carina van der Walt have been the pillar of strength since my appointment this award is for them. Lastly, I hope this is the start of many good things to come,” said Mtshali.
