A Fourth Dimension officer has been suspended after he was allegedly caught on CCTV footage stealing items from a shop in Palmridge.

A FOURTH Dimension officer has been suspended after he was allegedly caught on CCTV footage stealing items from a shop in Palmridge.

The incident allegedly occurred on July 14. The shop owner opened a case of theft at Eden Park Police Station on July 16.

Spokesperson for Fourth Dimension Stephen le Roux issued a statement condemning the individual officer’s alleged conduct in the strongest possible terms.

“The actions of the individual officer does not accurately represent the values and integrity of Fourth Dimension or its employees. We condemn the actions as seen in the video in the strongest terms possible and will allow the law to run its course.

“The officer concerned was suspended by the management of Fourth Dimension after the allegations came to Fourth Dimension’s attention. We now await the outcome of the criminal investigations,” le Roux said.

Le Roux added that under no circumstances will actions like these allegedly committed be tolerated by Fourth Dimension.

Eden Park SAPS is investigating.
