THE staff and learners at Montanus Primary School bid farewell to two teachers with over 83 years of combined teaching experience.

Claudia Bester, who taught 41 years, and Riette Swart, 42 years, both ended their teaching careers at the school on June 14.

The school wrote a farewell note: “We are saying farewell to two of our teachers at Montanus. They contributed a lifetime of teaching to our community. The time they dedicated to Montanus added value to the lives of thousands of Montie learners over the years. The workplace will never be the same without them. Their creative spirit, zest, and passion for teaching will be missed.”
