BREAKING NEWS: Woman dies after being hit by car on Boundary Road Eastcliff

Johannesburg Metro Police Department (JMPD) and EMS attended the scene.

A WOMAN was hit by a vehicle this morning just after 8am, on Boundary Road, Eastcliff and passed away shortly after.

The woman who passed away works for Shirley De Klerk, owner of SMK Security Distributors, in Orpen Road, Eastcliffe. |”She has worked for us since 2004 and is like family. We are devastated,” said |Shirley.

Johannesburg Metro Police Department (JMPD) and EMS attended the scene.

This road is notorious for accidents with vehicles speeding far in excess of the speed limit of 60 kilometres an hour.

Residents and business owners have been requesting traffic calming measures over the past few years but to no avail.
