South Hills rape and murder case postponed to April 15

The case has been postponed for the fourth time. The previous postponement was for validation of the charges and the State wanted to validate his address and for a formal bail application.

OSBOURNE Bors (39), who stands accused of raping and murdering Silindile Kunene (18) from South Hills, will once again appear in court on April 15, after the case has been postponed in the Booysens Magistrate’s Court on March 27.

The case has been postponed for the fourth time. The previous postponement was for validation of the charges and the State wanted to validate his address and for a formal bail application.

With his fourth appearance for a formal bail application, his defence requested a postponement of the case as they still need time to compile a few details.

People crowded the court’s gallery in support of Silindile Kunene. After the court proceedings they gathered outside holding placards and banners with the words ‘NO BAIL’ written on them.
