WATCH: People welcomed Gold Reef City’s new ride with excitement

Storm Chaser is not for the faint-hearted.

THE new and exhilarating ride at the Gold Reef City was launched with fanfare on March 16.

The ride which only allows children taller than 1.3m and adults was welcomed with open arms by the public.

Prominent individuals from all walks of life attended the official launch of the Storm Chaser

Storm Chaser allows 16 individuals at a time to enjoy the ride which lasts for about three minutes.

Miss Soweto 2018 Nokukhanya Kunene said the ride was one of a kind, “and if you are not afraid of heights, then this is where you should be”.

“During the three minutes while it swings around the air, you wish you could never have bothered to be in it. But it’s exciting and fun. I will be bringing my friends and family soon. I’m really thrilled. For me this is the best ride by far at Gold Reef,” said Nokukhanya.
