Marist Brothers celebrates Ash Wednesday

Lent lasts for 40 days in preparation for the great feast of Easter when Jesus died and rose again from the dead.

ON March 6 Marist Brothers Linmeyer celebrated Ash Wednesday. After liturgy readings and a talk by Fr Sean McEwan, the staff, learners and parents received ashes on their foreheads, spread in a cross pattern to symbolise their repentance and willingness to change over the Lenten season.
