MULTISERV donated 50 pairs of school shoes and 50 bags to the children under the auspices of Boithuto Community Project in Jackson Drift informal settlement, Eikenhof, to mark their 50th anniversary on March 5.

Marketing and franchise manager Luandi Norris, who has been with Multiserv for 11 years, said this is their way of giving back to the community.

“It is a pleasure for us to celebrate our brand which is turning 50 with the children. We are giving back to the community. Each child received school shoes, a bag and a cupcake to celebrate this milestone with us.

“We partnered with Southgate Mall and they provided us with the name of the project we can support. This will be ongoing support as we previously supported other organisations,” she said.

Southgate Mall was represented by Itumeleng Makoropo from centre management.

“We are happy for the children and thank you, Multiserv, for the donation. We always want great things for this community. We want each and every child to be at school and also bring dignity to our people,” said Mongameli Arosi, one of the community members.

Boithuto Community Project feeds about 160 children daily in the informal settlement.
