ON Saturday, February 23 at about 7.10am four unknown armed men, wearing a retail store’s branded clothing, entered a store on Columbine Avenue, Mondeor, going into the office where a member of staff was working.
One of the suspect’s threatened the staff member with a firearm, ordering him to keep quiet and took him to the cash office. They tied him up with cable ties, told him to sit down and not look at them. While one of them stood guard the other three packed money into a bag.
They proceeded to leave the shop with the bag and an undisclosed amount of money. A security guard who was outside the shop tried to stop them, he was also threatened with a firearm.
The four suspects drove off in a green Toyota Corolla, and a white Toyota which was later found abandoned on the N12.
One suspect was brought into Mondeor Police Station in connection with the business robbery.
