Join Epic Foundation self-defence workshops

There is one workshop booked per month. If the interest in these increase they do intend booking more a month.

THE Epic Foundation, together with Renata Fester and James Donlin from Elite Defence Academy, launched their brand new series of self-defence workshops late last year.

As the primary focus of the Epic Foundation is to support survivors of rape and abuse, it is important for them to help provide these workshops to the public to help teach skills and techniques which could potentially avoid something like this happening to them (survivors).

There is one workshop booked per month. If the interest in these increase they do intend booking more a month.

“We also run these workshops for shelter ladies and rape survivors to help empower them. We invite women, men and children to attend our workshops at a fee of R200 per person. Funding will go towards our projects and initiatives to support rape survivors. Our workshops are on Saturday mornings from 9am to midday at the Epic Foundation office, 406 Southern Klipriviersberg Road in Steeledale,” explained Alta McMaster from the foundation.

The confirmed dates for the remainder of the year are March 2, April 6, May 25, June 29, July 27, August 31, September 28, October 26, November 23, November 30 and December 7.
