Some Turffontein roads were shut down as residents from ward 55 went on a rampage since yesterday, January 25.
Roads were blocked with rocks, boxes and tree branches.
Residents are demanding answers from the Johannesburg Social Housing Company (JOSHCO) as to why the newly built units have been given to people from other wards.
Ward 55 residents also damaged some of the JOSHCO units.
