EARLIER today (January 3), Johannesburg Water reported on their Facebook page that they have a burst water pipe at Forest Hill pump station.
In the statement it emerged that equipment inside the station was flooded and they were unable to bypass the station due to the burst. Subsequently the tower will be running empty shortly.
Isaac Dhludhlu from Johannesburg Water said their team is on site. “Yes we had a burst water pipe. Our team is attending to the matter. I can’t say how long it will take to fix the problem, however they are doing all in their power to fix it.
Updates will be posted on our Facebook page – Johannesburg Water,” he said.
