Children spoiled with gifts at the Recreation Centre in South Hills

Children between the ages of two and 12 years were showered with gifts, and the parents were happy to see their children spoilt with gifts.

SOCIAL Development in partnership with the Motsepe Foundation sponsored toys for Ward 57 children.

The ceremony to hand out toys took place at the Recreation Centre in South Hills on December 10.

Children between the ages of two and 12 years were showered with gifts, and the parents were happy to see their children spoilt with gifts.

However, out of the 1 200 children, 800 were lucky to receive gifts. The 400 who did not receive gifts were disappointed.

Ward 57 councillor Faeeza Chame said: “This was the first time Department of Social Development came to Ward 57 to provide gifts to children. Next year we will double the numbers.”
