Molly’s Speakeasy needs your help to make a difference

It will be greatly appreciated if anyone would like to make further donations of some much-needed items.

MOLLY’S Speakeasy chose to spend the festive season at the non-profit organisation, Talitha Stimulation Centre (‘TSC’) for Disabled Children, located in Daleside.

They really look forward to helping them and anyone who shares their enthusiasm is welcome to help too.

TSC was established in 2000 in Eden Park by Veronica Flemmer. After great success, and due to an unprecedented need for special care for disabled children, a second facility was established in Daleside in 2015.

This second centre currently has a capacity for 40 differently disabled children, where they offer physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, specialised education programmes and, recently, the added aid for children affected by HIV/Aids and tuberculosis.

To ensure they have a day to remember, the team at Molly’s Speakeasy has established a facility under their Molly’s Christmas Tree to gather some much-needed donations, which their CHDC (Christmas Happiness Distribution Coordinator), Koba van Niekerk, will be sorting, packing and delivering to TSC on December 24.

They have already received a few cash donations, which will be used to buy some of these donations, but it will be greatly appreciated if anyone would like to make further donations of the following items in particular: Starchy foods and cereal, fruit, vegetables and fruit juice, Milo and biscuits, pillows, pillowcases and sheets, curtains, bath towels, colouring books, crayons, play-dough, glue, water paints and paint brushes, wool and threading beads.

Donations can be dropped off at the Alberton RECORD, 1 Eaton Terrace, ground floor of the Terrace Building, New Redruth by no later than December 20 at 12 noon.

For more information, or to pledge your support, kindly email Koba van Niekerk on caring@mollys-speakeasy.com, or message Molly’s Speakeasy on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/mollysspeakeasy/
