Public meeting with SAPS

CPF holding a public meeting.

BOOYSENS CPF SECTOR 2 is inviting all residents, businesses and other stakeholders from Aeroton, Booysens Reserve, Crown Mines, Frampton, Lakeview, Nasrec, Ophirton, Ormonde View and Soccer City to a meeting on November 27 at AFM Church Hall, Ormonde View around 7pm.

The purpose of the meeting is:

• CPF committee to report back to residents and other stakeholders;

• New SAPS Booysens station commander input;

• Introduction and give an outline approach to community policing;

• Festive season operational plan;

• Update on cable theft;

• Mobilising business sector and approach to special events.

The JMPD Region F2 superintendent will have input about reports on compliance with CoJ by-laws which is stamping out illegal drag racing, terminating illegal dumping and sales of SABS approved products at spaza shops.

There will also be feedback from the ward 125 IDP public meeting held on November 7.

A date for the next meeting, which will only be hosted in 2019, will also be given during the meeting.

“Please make every effort to attend so that we are all together in building a safer community and sector. Let your voices be heard through active citizenship,” said Randall Howard.
