Booysens SAPS officials applauded for their good work

Good convictions achieved.

BOOYSENS SAPS sends their gratitude to the following police officers for doing sterling jobs in achieving the following convictions respectively:

• Sgt Jacob Maliwa solved a case of theft which resulted in a sentence of five years direct imprisonment.

• Sgt Theodorah Hadebe worked on and solved a fraud case with a sentence of six years imprisonment suspended for five years as a result.

• Sgt Godfrey Chewe solved a theft out of motor vehicle case which led to imprisonment for six months, a theft out of motor vehicle case which resulted in a R3 000 fine or 12 month’s imprisonment, possession of stolen goods with six months imprisonment and another theft out of motor vehicle case also resulting in a R3 000 fine or 12 month’s imprisonment.

• Sgt Edmond Rangwanasha solved a case of housebreaking and theft and the accused was sent for rehabilitation for six months. He also solved a fraud case with a R2 000 fine or 18 months suspended for five years was handed down and a case of housebreaking where the accused was also declared unfit to possess a firearm and six years imprisonment, of which three years were suspended for five years.

• WO Stefanus van Staden solved a case of housebreaking where the accused was sentenced to four years imprisonment and declared unfit to possess a firearm.
