Armed robbery at Engen Comaro

No one was injured in the robbery and no shots were fired.

An armed robbery took place at Engen Comaro at about 9.30am on Wednesday, November 14.

According to an eye witness, three armed men came into the garage shop, holding up the staff and customers, ordering them to lie down on the floor. “They took both my cell phones. One my own and one my company phone,” said one customer.

An amount of +- R3 000 was taken as well as a box of cigarettes. The suspects were driving a white Chevrolet Sedan, registration number – ZWB 736 GP. SAPS has confirmed the registration is false. The vehicle was last seen travelling towards the N12 South.

Moffatview SAPS were on the scene and the garage shop remains closed until forensics have been. The petrol station is open.

No one was injured in the robbery and no shots were fired.
