Amazing Grace Children’s Home graced with groceries

Children were spoiled with different activities and educational plays. Flying Squad conducted a dog show for children.

CHRISTMAS came early for gogo Grace Mashaba and her organisation Amazing Grace Children’s Home when the home was presented with a donation of groceries by Johannesburg Flying Squad on November 2, in Eikenhof.
Amazing Grace is home to about 200 children including disabled and orphans from different backgrounds and receives no aid from the government. They completely rely on donations.
The home was established in 1979 in Mpumalanga before moving to Johannesburg in 2004. Grace, founder and director of Amazing Grace, was all emotional when she was presented with food parcels, stationery, games and clothes and shed tears of joy.

“I feel blessed and honoured to be showered with this kind of love from the flying squad and everyone involved in this initiative. At least now the children will have enough food to sustain them for a couple of weeks. What is done to me, I wish can also be done to others – it is an honour indeed,” said Grace.

Capt Alvis Marcello said he loves what Grace has done in giving homeless children a home. He mentioned that he wants Amazing Grace to grow and be blessed in every endeavour.
