Suspects arrested for possession of stolen Eikenhof farm goods

Two suspects, aged 24 and 28, were arrested who were in possession of stolen goods, with the rest of the suspects managing to run away.

ON September 11, at about 11am SAPS received information about suspicious activities at one of the farms in Eikenhof.

When the police arrived they saw a group of men at the address, running from a truck carrying suspected stolen goods. Two suspects, aged 24 and 28, were arrested who were in possession of stolen goods, with the rest of the suspects managing to run away.

The suspects are being detained at Mondeor police cells and are charged on possession of suspected stolen property. They will be appearing in the Johannesburg Magistrate’s Court.

Successes

Between September 7 and 12, 31 suspects were arrested by Mondeor SAPS: assault GBH and common – seven; possession of dagga – eight; dealing in liquor and drinking in public – seven; possession of stolen and suspected stolen property – four; shoplifting and theft – three; fraud – one; and living off proceeds of immorality – one.
