She praises God in everything she does

Believing in God is her weapon.

PRAISING God, worshipping and reading the Bible is what Asanda Halom from Booysens informal settlement believes in.

She told the COURIER she loves God with all her heart and she has committed her life to the Lord.

“Since I met Christ as my personal saver, my life has been transformed. My way of thinking also changes as now I have reverence towards people. I teach my children to love and honour God. In my house we say grace before we even attempt to eat,” said Asanda.

She claims she reads the Bible for five hours a day and this keeps her inspired and informed about worldly activities. She believes God instilled a seed in every human heart to love, forgive and respect.

“I am always happy and it’s just because I let God carry my burdens and troubles. I wish that my children can emulate me. People come to me for advice when they are in trouble and when I advise them I always quote from the Bible.

“For me, the Bible is a book that connects me with God and from it, I know about God and his ways,” Asanda added.
