Three-wheel bicycle rider a benefit to Turffontein elderly

27-year-old gives back to the elderly.

BENEDICT Mgubo (27) from Turffontein uses his three-wheel bicycle to sell ice-cream and help the elderly with their belongings.

Residents, mostly elderly, call Benedict if they need something delivered to different parts of the area. Benedict believes that his bicycle is good for business delivery but because of his love and care towards older people, he does it for free.

He has owned the bicycle since 2015 and he doesn’t see himself buying a car. Sometimes he helps school learners with his bicycle by carrying their school bags. Benedict sees himself as a community transporter helping residents. He is admired by residents just because of his sharing nature.

“I love transporting people with my bicycle. Since my childhood years, bicycles have been my thing. So, in helping elderly in transporting their possessions, is my way of giving back to the community in some way,” said Benedict.
