Incident at Glenvista Shopping Centre

Paul James Hairdressing would like to apologise to all parties involved in an incident that took place on Sunday, June 24, at the Glenvista Shopping Centre in the South of Johannesburg

PAUL James Hairdressing would like to apologise to all parties involved in an incident that took place on Sunday, June 24, at the Glenvista Shopping Centre in the South of Johannesburg in which a client and a Paul James employee were involved in an altercation.

“We deal with matters of this nature with the utmost importance and sensitivity and we have begun an in-depth investigation into the matter at hand. An external labour advisor has been contracted to assist in the investigation. The hairdresser in question has been suspended until further notice and the incident did not occur in a Paul James Hairdressing salon as we do not conduct business in this manner. We are in possession of the surveillance footage as well as the messages sent between both parties. The complainant will be meeting with the owners of Paul James Hairdressing on Thursday, June 28,” said Head Office on behalf of Paul Fox.

“We know the centre of our business is people, and without the support throughout the years, Paul James would not be where it is now. With this in mind we have begun an internal training programme for conflict resolution and will be reviewing how situations of conflict are escalated within our organisation. The measures we take are in the hopes of avoiding any and all future incidents of this nature.”
