PEOPLE from the South and surrounding areas visited the Weekend Market in Ridgeway at Uncle Charlie’s on May 26 for the Prawn Festival to enjoy meals, games and entertainment.
The main stage events, which included local artists, kept people entertained throughout the day. Everyone had something to do and there was something for everyone to enjoy like braaied boerewors, hot dogs, homemade foods, soft drinks and bunny chows. Those attending could browse through the variety of stalls at their leisure and the fun just kept on going.
Children also enjoyed themselves on the jumping castles, at the shooting range, had their faces painted and even joined in hikes.
“This is a fun everything and is well managed. The atmosphere is amazing and everyone seems to love being here. The children are very excited about new games at their disposal and not only them, even us adults mingle with different people. Events of this magnitude should be done now and then so that local and small businesses can thrive,” said Thembinkosi Zulu, one of the visitors.
