A unit was burnt down last night at Moffat View Old Age Home.

A UNIT was burnt down last night at Moffat View Old Age Home.

At this stage is it unclear what led to the fire and no fatalities were reported. Johannesburg’s EMS and local Clr Faeeza Chame were at the scene.

WATCH:

Willy Jacobs, one of the residents said, “We had a traumatic experience because of a block flats that caught fire. One elderly lady is taken up in hospital.  All this could’ve been avoided if this village had fire extinguishers.  Housing officials will be come to assess the damage. The village has been neglected for many years.”
