Senior citizens are suffering

The elderly are always the first to pay their rent on time and yet they only get a pension of R1 600.

I am disappointed with the housing officials. Once again they are letting our elderly people down with service delivery.

The elderly are always the first to pay their rent on time and yet they only get a pension of R1 600.

On numerous occasions, I have informed the officials of the leaking geysers at Moffat View Retirement Village. I was promised that plumbers will be sent out to do the repairs but nothing was done.

When these geysers leak it is so bad that the floors are soaking wet. This poses a danger to the elderly. They can slip and fall. And now with the rainy season upon us, it will not be easy for them to deal with the leaking geysers.

I have logged this call two weeks ago and to my surprise, nothing has been done.

These leaking geysers are only two years old. It is clear that the contractors applied poor workmanship.
