Karate instructors now first aiders

It ensures that they are properly trained to handle all types of situations.

THE Bassonia instructors of the Japan Karate Association have recently completed their level one first aid course to ensure the safety of their students at all times.

Senior instructors Gert Aucamp (6th Dan) and Karyn Smith (5th Dan) and sub-instructors Heinrich Opperman, Brittany and Dylyn Shepstone (all 2nd Dan) have all completed the course which meets the Department of Labour Occupational Health and Safety regulations.

It ensures that they are properly trained to handle all types of situations.

For more information about the club, contact Karyn Smith 082 579 0890. Classes are held Mondays to Thursdays for all ages and all fitness levels.
