Making a difference at Domestic Watch

“Thanks to our guest speakers, Sasol Swartgoud for always allowing us to hold our meetings here, as well as Petrus Mphetla from Mondeor Primary School who assists with driving the domestics to and from the meetings,” added Michelle.

AT the March meeting for Domestic Watch Mondeor Sector Two CPF, Bonny Botha from Risk Facts of Life, sponsored by Ahmed Kathrada Private Hospital, showed the domestic workers how to react and assist in an emergency situation.

The meeting was held at Sasol Swartgoud with a good attendance from local domestic workers.

Run by Michelle Pelser of Mondeor Sector Two CPF, the morning was enjoyed by all with the domestics, some of whom took part in the exercises.

Also in attendance was Colin Roberts, the client relations officer for Ahmed Kathrada Private Hospital, and Anke Poley of Health Care Dynamics, which is contracted to Ahmed Kathrada Private Hospital.

The Lenmed Health story is one of triumph and commitment that all began in 1984 when the first Lenmed Health hospital opened its doors in Lenasia.

It is now known as the Ahmed Kathrada Private Hospital.

Lenmed Ahmed Kathrada Private Hospital reaches out to its communities in providing trauma prevention and awareness outreach programmes to schools, old age homes and any community-driven committee projects.

“Thanks to our guest speakers, Sasol Swartgoud for always allowing us to hold our meetings here, as well as Petrus Mphetla from Mondeor Primary School, who assists with driving the domestics to and from the meetings,” added Michelle.

The next Domestic Watch meeting will be on April 10 at Sasol Swartgoud at 10am.
