Jordan dies after crashing into stationary skip

A case of culpable homicide is being investigated.

A FAMILY mourns the death of a 21-year-old motorcyclist who died after he allegedly hit a skip on Klipriviersberg Road on Monday night.

On March 26, Jordan Lombard lost his life after riding his motorcycle which hit the stationary skip alleged to have been on the poorly lit Klipriviersberg Road.

Brother Wayne Lombard said Jordan was a hard-working individual who loved animals.

His mother, Ann is said to be coming back to the country for the funeral proceedings.

A friend of the family and Jordan’s best friend’s mother, Barbara Smith, said Jordan was a fun-loving person who was hard-working.

She said Jordan and her son, Clinton Barlow-Kearsly, were inseparable. She said it was unfortunate that a young life was taken so senselessly.

Smith also reiterated that the road was poorly lit and she confirmed Moffat View police were investigating the matter.

A case of culpable homicide is being investigated according to Wayne, who said more information would be provided to the COURIER once the family has met.

A memorial service will be held for Jordan on April 6 in Randburg. Wayne said that close family and friends were welcome to attend the memorial at the Diggers Randburg Rugby Club.

The life-loving Jordan leaves behind his mother Ann, sister Charné and two brothers, Dalton and Wayne.
