Twelve injured in taxi crash on M1 and Xavier Road

The injured were found lying outside the taxi as people walked around on the scene.

ABOUT 12 people were injured when a taxi collided with a car on the M1 and Xavier Road in the south of Johannesburg earlier today, February 21.

ER24 spokesperson Russel Meiring said emergency services arrived to find the taxi on its side.

He said the light motor vehicle involved in the crash was also found a short distance away from the crash.

Meiring said the patients were assessed and two people had sustained critical injuries while 10 others had injuries ranging from minor to moderate.

Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
