Is our school transport safe?

Some of these drivers say working together can make the life of the children safe.

Everyone, from the parents to the driver of school transport, must be responsible and accountable for the children who use this transportation. Some of these drivers say working together can make the life of the children safe.

KOKI NCABA: “I’m inviting the parents to familiarise themselves with the National Transport Act 5 of 2009; then they will know all the rules and regulations of transporting children.”
JABU DLAMINI: “It is safe. We have modified this business and having new taxis to transport the children is a step to new and better things. We need support from parents.”
MOSES MAZIBUKO: “I will be happy if scholar transport can be regulated and be under one organisation. Our work will be protected in that regard.”
VELI MTHEMBU: “It is 80 per cent safe. This is a work in progress, that is why we need the community to work with us moving forward.”
