Community backs Desirae’s initiative

Thank you to the community for its generous donations of clothes and toys - Desirae Francisco.

THE story of a recovered addict from Forest Hill, which was published in the COURIER (January 16), has received a positive response from the community.

Desirae Francisco said the response from the community has been great. “I am so excited to say that the company I work for, Sage, has decided to come on board and assist TLC in Eikenhof and Door of Hope Glenvista by sending 10 volunteers to each home. Sage Foundation volunteers will be carrying out some building maintenance and refurbishing of baby rooms at the homes. A huge thank you to Sage Foundation for your involvement in my initiative.

“I would also like to appeal to businesses in and around the South to please come on board and help me to ‘pay it forward’. I am currently looking for businesses that will donate or sponsor the following items: plain aqueous cream, Epizone A and Epizone E cream, nappies, wet wipes, baby bum cream and baby formula, specifically Nan 1, Nan 2 and Nan Lactose Free.

“Thank you to the community for its generous donations of clothes and toys, I am still collecting clothes (age 0 to 18), toys, school supplies, non-perishable foods and winter blankets,” explained Desirae.
