Garden club move and meetings

JOHANNESBURG South Garden Club has moved back to the Geelhout Room in Klipriviersberg Recreation Centre, Peggy Vera Road, Kibler Park after it appeared Queenshaven, where previous meetings had been held, was not convenient for some of the garden club members.

The first meeting of 2018 will take place on January 20 at 10am with guest speaker Ryan Rattray speaking on plant DNA. For members’ information the competition table will be indigenous, pot plants, cut flowers, fruit and vegetables and floral art. The floral art theme will be Sizzling Hot.

The following meeting will be held on January 30 at 10am with guest speaker Johan du Preez from Starke Ayres, chatting about seed sowing, pesticides and fertilising.
