Service centres’ operating hours during holiday period

Customers are advised to continuously make payments to their accounts.

THE City of Johannesburg wishes to inform its customers about its revenue customer service centres’ operating hours during the December/January holiday period.

Effectively from December 15, all revenue customer service centres will operate from 7.30am to 3.30pm from Monday to Friday, until January 10 next year. It should be noted that customer service centres will not be operating on Saturdays during this period.

Spokesperson Kgamanyane Maphologela said: “Our revenue customer service centres will be closed on the following days being December 16, 23, 25, 26 and 30 as well as January 1 and 6 next year.”

From January 11, the Thuso House customer service centre in Braamfontein will revert back to extended operating hours, being 7.30am until 6pm, including all Saturdays from 7.30am until 12.30pm.

The remainder of the category A customer service centres will be operating from 7.30am until 3.30pm from Monday to Friday including Saturdays from 7.30am until 12.30pm as per normal working hours.

Maphologela advises customers who wish to pay their accounts to utilise other third parties or pay via EFT using their nine-digit account number as reference when paying via the internet.

In order to ensure accounts are timeously paid, customers are advised to pay their accounts using the listed methods below:

• With Easy Pay, facilitating a quick payment option at many shops that you visit on a regular basis, including Pick n Pay and Shoprite Checkers.

• Debit orders.

• Direct deposits at major banks.

• ATMs.

• Internet and cellphone banking.

• SA Post Office.

Customers are advised to continuously make payments to their accounts.

Should your bill delay reaching you, either pay the same amount as the previous month or call Joburg Connect on 0860 Joburg (562 874) to enquire as to how much you owe.

You can also register to receive your accounts by email. All you need to do is to register on the City’s website at www.joburg.org.za and your account will be emailed to you monthly.

Paying your account timeously contributes to an uninterrupted and smooth service delivery to all the residents of the City on time. Customers that have queries can log a query with Joburg Connect at 0860 Joburg (562 874).
