Gauteng Department of Education has moved offices

The contact details for the switchboard remain the same.

THE Gauteng Department of Education has moved to new premises. The 111 Commissioner building has been synonymous with GDE for the past 20 years. The department has now moved to four buildings.

Members of the public are now advised that services will be offered at the following four sites:

17 Simmonds Street

For all general information relating to the department’s services, members of the public can inquire at 17 Simmonds Street. Suppliers will also be assisted with queries relating to payment and general supply chain management information.

30 Loveday Street

GDE’s examination centre is located at 30 Loveday Street. Members of the public will be able to access the following services:

• Apply for a combination certificate.

• Statement of results.

26 Loveday Street

• For information relating to human resources, recruitment and selection, members of the public must visit 26 Loveday Street.

55 Fox Street

For information relating to:

• Gauteng City Region Academy (GCRA), internships/learnerships/job centre/bursaries.

• Public Ordinary Schools – for placements and admissions the public can visit 55 Fox Street.
