Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding an incident where an off-duty police officer allegedly shot and killed two community members in City Deep Flats, Johannesburg at about 10am this morning, December 5.

It is alleged that the officer had an argument with the victims and he shot two of them who died instantly and injured two more community members who were taken to hospital.
Police responded to the shooting incident, upon arrival the off-duty police officer shot at the police who retaliated, wounding him. He was taken to hospital where he later died.
