A Re Sebetseng: Townsview Park clean-up

This was no ordinary day as it started to rain just before the clean-up began.

WARD 56 residents participated in the mayor’s city-wide A Re Sebetseng clean-up campaign. They cleaned the park in Townsview at the corner of Valda and Mabel streets on November 25.

However, this was no ordinary day as it started to rain just before the clean-up began. This did not deter the residents who were determined to assist in making the city cleaner. They braved the wet weather and went ahead picking up litter in the park.

Clr Michael Crichton said: “I am once again impressed with my residents’ commitment to have a cleaner ward and a cleaner city! When I saw that it was raining I was concerned that the residents were going to stay at home but instead they chose to participate regardless of the weather conditions.

“I would like to thank each and every resident that braved the weather from the bottom of my heart! The park looks a lot cleaner now and I only hope that these clean-ups continue to grow from strength to strength!”
