People must live in the spirit of Ubuntu

He said he is against nuclear power.

HE is outspoken, loves the idea of solar energy and is a ‘private’ barber who enjoys his life.

Elladdone resident Henry Storbeck (48) is one person who loves to see people live side by side in harmony. “My blood boils when I see people degrading one another. Life is there for all of us to enjoy. Everything is degenerating and we have corrupt leaders. However, we must instil Ubuntu in ourselves and care for the person next to us,” he said.

Many years ago, while recycling plastic, Henry was also a private barber at the Reuven Old Age Home. It is a place he holds dearly in his heart. “If I were rich I would upgrade that place because I know how old people there live. Others struggle just to go to the shops as they don’t have transport. Those who can still walk, are in danger of being robbed and the little they have is taken away,” said Henry.

He said he is against nuclear power. “Solar power is efficient and environmentally friendly. We must all be in favour of it. There is too much risk in nuclear power,” he noted.

Henry still enjoys cutting the hair of people in his neighbourhood and would love to continue living a better life.
