Five people were left injured this afternoon, October 26, following a collision between two taxis at the corners of Heidelburg and Outspan Road in City Deep.
ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene shortly after 12pm to find one of the taxis on the embankment while the second taxi was found in the middle of the intersection. The occupants from the vehicles were found seated on the pavement.
ER24 paramedics assessed the patients and found that a total of five had sustained injuries ranging from minor to moderate. Fortunately, no serious injuries or fatalities were found on the scene.
The patients were treated for their injuries and were later transported to South Rand Hospital for further care.
The local authorities were on the scene to conduct their investigations.
