Car and bike collide in Booysens leaving man seriously injured

The driver of the light motor vehicle was assessed and found to have escaped injury.

A man was left seriously injured this morning, October 24, when a light motor vehicle and motorbike collided at the Garland and Earp Road intersection in Booysens, Johannesburg.

ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene to find a light motor vehicle in the road while a motorbike was found lying in the gutter. The driver of the motorbike was found lying on the pavement, being tended to by vehicle recovery members.

Paramedics assessed the man and found that he had sustained several injuries, leaving him in a serious condition.
The man was treated for his injuries and was provided with pain-relief medication before he was transported to Baragwanath Provincial Hospital for further care.

The driver of the light motor vehicle was assessed and found to have escaped injury.

The local authorities will be investigating this matter further.
