Suspects arrested for theft in Eikenhof

Mondeor SAPS also shares its successes from October 5 to October 11.

TWO male suspects aged 21 were arrested in the early hours of October 12 by Mondeor detectives.

The suspects are Mozambique nationals and were arrested in connection with an armed robbery that occurred on September 8 at about 7pm at the Jacksons Drift Informal Settlement in Eikenhof.

According to Mondeor SAPS communication officer, Captain Nokulunga Dube, the complainant reported that he was walking on the street when he was approached by the suspects. They (the suspects) aimed a firearm at him and demanded cash and his cellphone and took his belongings. Mondeor detectives investigated the case which led to the arrests.

Mondeor SAPS also shares its successes from October 5 to October 11. Within this week there were ten arrested for driving under the influence, seven arrested for possession of dagga, seven arrested for drinking in public, six arrested for shoplifting, three arrested for fraud, two arrested for armed robbery, two arrested for theft, two arrested for malicious damage to property, one arrested for assault, one arrested for house robbery, one arrested for a house break-in and theft, and one arrested for rape.
