MONDEOR High School held its annual art exhibition on Tuesday, October 10 which saw art learners display the artwork they produced during the year.
Well-known South African artist Mary Sibande was the guest speaker at the school’s exhibition. She spoke about the works of art she has produced over the years and the meanings behind them. She also offered advice and tips to parents and learners. The school hall was filled with learners’ colourful, imaginative and inspiring works of art.
Parents, family, friends and the general public were all invited to view the learners’ work.
Each painting, drawing and artwork was striking and eye-catching. Throughout the school hall there were beautiful images to admire.
Honoured guests were served snacks and hot beverages after the exhibition as they mingled and spoke with Sibande who answered the many questions learners had for her.
