Residents unharmed after brazen burglary

The hunt for the culprits is still on.

Three gunmen are still on the run after they broke into a house in Alston Street, Moffat View on September 4.

The police confirmed the armed robbery which saw the gunmen ransack the house before fleeing with items.

Moffat View police spokesperson Captain Mikateko Bila said the hunt is still on for the men that fled with a TV, cell phones, and jewellery.

A nearby neighbour, who asked not to be named, said the culprits found the residents inside the house.

“None of the residents were harmed during the daring theft. The men must have jumped the wall from the back yard,” she said.

The informant also stated that there’s an overgrown veld with shacks at the back of Alston Street which may have aided the culprits.
