Scholar patrollers honoured

Four hundred and sixty educators accompanied them to a fun filled day at Wembley Stadium in Turffontein, where they were entertained by mascot dancers.

AT least 3 000 learners were acknowledged on September 7, for participating in the Scholar Patrol Programme in Johannesburg and surrounding areas.

Four hundred and sixty educators accompanied them to a fun-filled day at Wembley Stadium in Turffontein, where they were entertained by mascot dancers, namely Mr Penguin from Oya Sweets, The Water Tap from Joburg Water, Mr Police Man from Gauteng Community Safety, Reggie The Rhino from EMS along with other sponsors, 3M and Syntel.

Johannesburg Metro Police Department (JMPD) and EMS staff co-ordinated the event and organised a delicious meal at the end of the day which was enjoyed by all who attended.
