Three suspects arrested for business break-in

On August 29, John Mbabazani Moloi, a reaction officer responding to alarms and prevention of crime around South Hills, Electron and Moffat View, reported to duty. At about 1.55am he received an activation of an alarm signal at Golden Spot Liqour Store. He drove to the address whilst requesting backup.

Upon arrival, he noticed that the gate and burglar door of the store were broken. While still at the scene, an unknown man walked past them. They enquired on his movements to which he responded that his car was giving him petrol problems.

The officers continued their patrols and around 2am they noticed a silver Toyota Avanza at Southern Kliprivier Road. The same unknown man was spotted. He again said his car was giving him problems. There were two more occupants in the car.

The officers stopped the vehicle in order to search it. They found a plasma Samsung TV, a crowbar and axe in the car. They arrested the three suspects and took them to Moffat View SAPS.

The owner of the Golden Spot Liquor Store confirmed that the Samsung TV was stolen from his business. Const Billy Letsoalo is investigating the case.
