WATCH: Maths boffins scoop top prizes

In all grades, Robertsham Primary School won the first position.

ROBERTSHAM Primary School annihilated all six primary schools that converged on the school for the annual computer aided mathematics instruction (CAMI) competition on September 9.

Some 43 Grade One to Grade Seven learners from Glenanda, Midstream Ridge, Highveld, Mulbarton, Midstream College and Marist Brothers Linmeyer participated in the competition.

In all grades, Robertsham Primary School won. Winners in the different age categories were: Grade One – Neo Vilakazi, Grade Two – Nashlyn Naidoo, Grade Three – Riyaan Marques, Grade Four – Misho Mabunda, Grade Five – Mahlodi Ntshabeleng, Grade Six – Nikyle Pillay and Grade Seven – Raniyah Thokan.

Charl Vorster, Cami technical director said the work rate of these learners was incredible. “The scores this year were amazing. Imagine doing over 80 sums per minute? These are engineers of the future. For us – the software developer – this is great news. It is great to be associated with these ‘cream of the crop’ learners. Congratulations to all the winners, the participants and the parents.
