A happy 25th birthday to Crystal Church

The celebration was packed with an excited congregation, who praised the church for the impact it had had on their lives.

AN electrifying birthday celebration was held at Crystal Church in Aeroton on July 23.

The church celebrated its 25th year in existence in extraordinary fashion. A display of fireworks and a massive diamond-shaped cake were organised to commemorate the day.

Church leader Pastor Carl Hendricks said it had been a long and tedious journey with challenges.

On Sunday the church opened its doors at 8.15am for a celebratory sermon.

The children started the proceedings with a song and this was followed by a message from Pastor Carl’s wife, Pastor Joan Hendricks, who thanked everyone for their support in the ministry’s journey.

She lauded the church’s board members for their unwavering support and said the ministry would not have made it through its trials, storms and tribulations, if it were not for their support and that of the entire ministry family.

She thanked everyone, recalled a time when the Hendricks family had nothing, and praised God for all their blessings to date.

This was followed by a sermon from Pastor Carl, who also spoke of the challenges the church faced, saying the church would not be anywhere had it not been for its affiliates.

The building was packed with an excited congregation, who praised the church for the impact it had had on their lives.

Proceedings included the launch of the church’s 10th album titled I Am Yours, which the choir debuted, singing a few of its tracks.

Spearheaded by Pastor Lestor Constance, the choir gave the congregation an audio snippet of what the 10th album has to offer.

The ten-track album is available for sale at the church’s bookstore and on SoundCloud. Recorded live at the church and dubbed at the church’s studios, it promises to turn everyone’s bad day into a God-filled jam session.
