WATCH: Mayor Mashaba in South on Mandela Day

Clr Mashaba also heard about some of the problems the residents of Ward 124 are facing.

EXECUTIVE mayor of Johannesburg Clr Herman Mashaba did his Mandela Day activity in the South by cleaning the park at the corner of Ferreira and Van Hulsteyn Street in Kenilworth.

He was joined by the DA activists and the residents of the area. Booysens Sector 3 CPF and the SAPS were also present.

Clr Mashaba also heard about some of the problems the residents of Ward 124 are facing. Residents complained about crime, house hijacking and people who park and drink in the park.

WATCH:

“The City has partnered with the SAPS, the JMPD and MMC for Public Safety Michael Sun, to address these problems. I hate that people drink in this park – that nonsense will come to an end. Thank you to the CPF and the police for their sterling job. We will have a satellite police station in Main Street to help the police,” he said.
