Burnt skeleton found in Springfield

“The skeleton was burned beyond recognition with no flesh.”

A SCORCHED skeleton was found in the south of Johannesburg recently.

Moffat View police said the skeleton was found on Wemmerpan Road in Springfield on Tuesday, June 20.

Spokesperson Constable Mikateko Bila said an inquest docket was opened at the station.

“The skeleton was burned beyond recognition – no flesh was visible. The police were looking into the case and the remains were taken to the Hillbrow Mortuary.”

She said anyone with information could contact Warrant Officer Themba Mdlalose 011 405 1500.

No information had surfaced by Thursday, according to police.
