Klipriver R59 crash leaves five injured

"The five occupants miraculously were found to have escaped with only minor injuries."

CHRIS Botha, Media Liaison Officer of Netcare 911, reported the following to the RECORD:

“At 4.30pm on Thursday, June 22, Netcare 911 and other services responded to a vehicle that overturned on the R59 in the Klipriver area of Johannesburg. Reports from the scene indicate that the vehicle with five occupants was traveling in the Johannesburg direction. The vehicle then veered off the road and overturned.”

Exact detail to the cause of the incident and preceding events will form part of the South African Police investigation.

Paramedics arrived at the scene and found that the wreckage of the vehicle had come to rest on its wheels some distance into the veld. The five occupants miraculously were found to have escaped with only minor injuries.

Paramedics stabilised the injured on the scene before they were transported to various hospitals in the area for the care that they required.
